PRACTICAL KRAV MAGA SELF DEFENSE AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING FOR KIDS

Elite Defence Academy International offers a Kids Krav Maga program, specifically designed for children aged 6 - 12 years of age.

This program is not available at all EDA Krav Maga venues, but is offered at the select clubs listed below.

WHY KRAV MAGA FOR KIDS?

We live in a world where children are exposed to potential harm on a daily basis. This can take the form of bullying (physical, emotional, and online), exposure to petty or opportunistic crime, and more serious forms of abuse like human trafficking.

Our Krav Maga program for kids is designed to empower children in 3 key ways:

  • Emotional and psychological self-confidence.
  • Safe and age-appropriate self defense techniques.
  • A broad range of practical life skills such as leadership, consideration and respect for others, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and much more.

Our classes are conducted in an atmosphere of fun, empowerment, and consideration for each child, with the utmost professionalism and care, by certified instructors. Parents are more than welcome to sit in on all classes (and even participate to a degree where appropriate).

The self defense training we provide features a strong element of partnership and group interaction (along with appropriate self-discipline), and are intended to equip children with actual self-protective skills without giving rise to any fear or apprehension. Your child will make new friends, be encouraged in a supportive environment, and taught how to respond intelligently and safely in the event of potentially harmful situations.


SKILL ADVANCEMENT AND INCENTIVES

As with almost all other martial arts, we have a belt ranking system that is a great way for your child to measure their progress and be rewarded with the recognition of diligent attendance and accomplishment. To qualify for belt grading events, your child will need to progressively learn the Kids Krav Maga syllabus, step by step, and our program is designed to enable anyone to achieve this. At the same time, children are also evaluated in classes and rewarded for displaying friendliness, empathy, and care toward others as well.

Our Krav Maga belt gradings are held regionally, usually 3 times per year.

GROUP IDENTITY AND PRIDE

We have a mandatory uniform, consisting of an EDA Kids Krav Maga T-shirt and official Krav Maga training pants, which you will need to purchase for your child upon enrolment. Should your child participate in belt gradings, he / she will also be entitled to wear the appropriate belt in class as they progress.
