KRAV MAGA CLASSES IN BENONI
Elite Defence Academy Benoni offers Krav Maga classes for adults of all ages, and teens from 13 years upward. Our Benoni Krav Maga club also provides a Kids Krav Maga class for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 years of age.
Our Krav Maga training is safe, professional, and our classes are extremely beginner-friendly and supportive.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
The instructor at EDA Benoni is Rob Paynter, who is also the Chief Instructor of Elite Defence Academy International.
Rob was one of Elite Defence Academy’s youngest Krav Maga instructors. He began training with the intention of simply learning a form of basic self-defence, but quickly realised that he had a natural aptitude for the movements and principles contained in the EDA Krav Maga Evolution system.
Devoting himself to training, he progressed rapidly, assisting with classes and learning as much as he could from a number of instructors. He underwent the EDA instructor course a decade ago, demonstrating a high level of ability as he equipped himself for the task of training students. After progressing through the ranks, demonstrating advanced skill and insight, and having served as Elite Defence Academy's International Head Of Syllabus, Rob was awarded the role of International Chief Instructor for EDA in 2021.
“I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed anything this much,” says Rob. “I think Krav Maga, and self-defence generally, are vital life skills that everyone should have, and I want to share it with as many people as possible. It’s like learning how to swim, or do first aid – it’s a very good idea to have the skills handy if you need them.”
Rob conveys the principles and techniques he teaches with incredible insight and depth of understanding. His students readily testify to the difference his teaching has made in their lives, and he continues to build a loyal and enthusiastic following as demonstrates the power and simplicity of EDA Krav Maga Evolution.

BENONI WOMEN’S CLASSES
Day: Fridays
Time: 7:00pm – 8:00pm

BENONI KIDS KRAV MAGA CLASSES
Day: Fridays
Time: 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
Day: Saturdays
Time: 9:00am to 10:00am.

VISIT A CLUB / BOOK A LOOK-IN SESSION
To visit class for a look-in session, it's best to book a date so that we can allocate time to personally showing you what we offer, answering any questions, and generally helping you feel at home. Our culture is extremely visitor-friendly and beginner-friendly, and all are welcome.

DRESS CODE
Wear casual clothing that you’d wear to gym or to go for a walk. Loose, comfortable clothing is best, along with sneakers or similar footwear.
Should you decide to enrol with us, an official EDA Krav Maga T-Shirt must be purchased and worn to class. Should you wish to, you can order additional shirts and other apparel at any stage, as well as official training pants, etc.

We’ll send you the link to our membership form which you need to complete.
Our member agreement form offers a choice of a 6-month and a 12-month membership, with fees paid monthly. At the end of your membership it will renew automatically unless you stipulate otherwise. Also, after your initial membership contact expires, should you need to cease training, you can do so with a month's written notice via email at any time.
KIDS KRAV MAGA CLASSES
Rob teaches a Kids Krav Maga class in Benoni for boys and girls between the age of 5 and 12. Fun, safe, age-appropriate self-defence skills are taught to our members and we place an emphasis on safety, and responsibility.
Our Kids Krav classes teach kids important life skills, how to defend themselves while developing their core strength, agility and hand eye coordination.
